START FROM THE REAL LANGUAGE GOAL

An Arabic Course Should Match What You Need Arabic For

Arabic is not one identical learning task. A complete beginner may need the script before anything else. A heritage learner may understand family speech but struggle to read or write. Another student may want formal Fusha, everyday Egyptian conversation, or the continuity of a published curriculum. Asawer separates these goals so the learner can spend lesson time on the skill that matters most.
PLACEMENT BEFORE ENROLLMENT

A Simple Way to Choose Without Guessing

The hub helps you compare. The trial confirms the decision.
01

Tell us what you want Arabic for

Reading, four-skill Fusha, everyday conversation, family communication or a specific curriculum can require different starting points.
02

Check each language skill separately

A learner can read better than they speak, understand more than they can write, or know a dialect without formal Arabic. The teacher checks the actual profile.
03

Move into one focused Arabic route

Start with the track that solves the most important gap first, then add another skill or language variety when it supports the learner’s next goal.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Questions Before Choosing an Online Arabic Course

These answers help with the first decision. Course-specific curriculum, level details and materials remain on the individual course page.
Which online Arabic course should a complete beginner start with?
Start from the learner’s immediate goal and actual skills. If the learner cannot yet recognise or join Arabic letters and wants literacy, a focused reading route may be the clearest beginning. If the goal is broader formal Arabic, a Fusha or structured curriculum route may include the needed foundation. The free assessment helps identify the best starting point.
What is the difference between Arabic Reading and Fusha?
Arabic Reading focuses on decoding the script accurately: letter forms, vowels, joined words, phrasing and growing reading independence. Fusha or Modern Standard Arabic is broader and develops listening, speaking, vocabulary, grammar, reading and writing together.
Should I learn Fusha or Egyptian Arabic?
Choose Fusha when you want formal reading, writing, education, news, broad literacy or communication across Arabic-speaking contexts. Choose Egyptian Arabic when your main goal is everyday conversation with Egyptians, family communication, travel or understanding natural Egyptian speech. Many learners eventually study both, but they do not need to start both at the same pace.
Are Arabic courses for kids and adults the same?
The core language skills may overlap, but lesson pace, topics, explanation style, activity length and home practice should change with age and attention. Children and adults therefore need different teaching decisions even when they are studying a similar language goal.
Can heritage learners join even if their skills are uneven?
Yes. Heritage learners often understand more than they can speak, or speak a family dialect while finding reading and formal Arabic difficult. Placement should check listening, speaking, reading and writing separately instead of treating the learner as simply beginner or advanced.
How do I choose between Al-Takallum and Al-Arabiyah Bayna Yadaik?
Both are structured Modern Standard Arabic pathways for non-native speakers, but they have their own sequence, materials and classroom feel. The better choice depends on the learner’s level, preferred study style, previous books and the balance of speaking, listening, reading and writing they need next.
